Pinnacle Club WT100

As part of the Pinnacle Club’s 100th birthday, I was asked to take photographs of the Women’s Trad 100 festival.

To celebrate their centenary, the  Pinnacle  club wanted to bring women climbers across the UK, focused on trad climbing. Photography took place over a week-long women’s trad climbing meet in Snowdonia with 100 women climbers in attendance on the quartzite sea cliffs at Gogarth and Rhoscolyn when the mountains conditions were damp.  Previously inspired by a meet held in 2016, the Pinnacle Club did similar back in 2016 – a hugely successful international meet that brought women climbers together from 24 different countries (you can read about it on UKC here).

The Pinnacle Club – the UK’s national club for women rock climbers – is 100 years old in 2021, and continues to be a climbing club I am proud to be involved with as a member.
